My Second Place finish in a 2001 National Design Competition.

In the spring 2001 I entered a design competition sponsored my ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education). I took first out off seven teams at the regional competition in Jamestown NY. The ASEE student chapter at Broom community College then paid for my trip to Albuquerque, NM to compete in the national competition.

Hear is the scoop.

My car:(don't be deceived by its appearance, this thing is a complex machine)

-My presentation (in Power Point format)
I know, my presentation sucks, this is why I received second place instead of first. My car completed the courses the fastest (by .1 seconds) but because it was so close, the judges considered it a tie and awarded the two top teams all 50 points for the contest section. I was one point behind the other top team in the presentation section (which is hard to believe because my presentation really sucked compared to theirs), so I received second place overall.
